            PHYSICS PROBLEM SOLVING

                Windows Interactive & MP4 Video Versions 2020 ©

Welcome to the Physics Problem Solving site. We are promoting seven outstanding interactive products for Windows. Modules 2, 3, 4, 5, 20, and 26 include 1,810 original problems of excellent quality, and they do a great job in helping students become more efficient problem solvers in the areas of kinematics, dynamics, and optics, and for students to succeed in the AP Physics 1 and 2 exams. Each module includes a tutorial, a study guide, five different test generators, and the detailed step by step solution of every problem. We firmly believe that those students that master all 708 problems in Module 26, will gain sufficient experience and knowledge to incline the balance in their favor to pass the multiple choice section of the AP Exams 1 and 2. All physics modules were created by a state certified physics teacher with 26 years of experience of teaching all levels of physics in the classroom.

Isaac Newton picture We are happy to announce a brand new product, Module 25: Class Projects for AP Physics 1 Students. This module includes 10 different projects incorporated in 22 activities. One of the projects, for instance, is titled The Bouncing Ball, which is similar to one official AP Physics problem given some years ago. But we go much deeper. The solution of this great project is academically challenging since it requires at least 3 hours of intense work and the application of principles in projectile motion, conservation of momentum, and conservation of energy in order to complete it. It was designed in such a way that each AP student will solve a Bouncing Ball problem with a different set of values. A good thing is that the teacher will take just a few minutes to print the solutions and grade the work done by all the students in one class. Without hesitation we can attest that this is not the only project the students will love to complete.

Besides the Windows Interactive products mentioned above, we are also promoting another version of Modules 2, 3, 4, 5, 20, and 26 in MP4 video format, which can be used in PC and Mac computers, and in many digital televisions with a USB port. All 1,810 problems and their step-step-by-step solutions can be viewed and studied by the entire class with the help of a digital projector, or individually in a computer lab. There are many excellent electronic viewers available to watch the MP4 video files, which most probably your already have in your computer, or that can be downloaded at no cost from the Internet, including VLC Media
Player and many others. At the bottom of this page you will find the link to download the
VLC Media Player, which we consider one of the best.

The Bouncing Ball Project Academic Level: AP Physics 1

      • Requirements: A Computer with Windows operating systems, XP or newer
      • Product # PHY025-Windows-Interactive, $175.00 (Includes the Shipping)
      • This product is delivered in a 16 GB USB Jump Drive
      • Number of Class Projects = 10
      • Number of Activities = 22
      • List of Class Projects in AP Physics 1:

      • Addition of Vectors - A Trip to Several Cities
      • Projectile Motion
      • The Oscillating Pendulum
      • The Bouncing Ball

      • The Vertical Spring
      • The Inclined Plane and the Spring
      • Gravitation - The Solar System

Module 25 can help students succeed in the AP Physics 1 exam. It is an excellent tool AP Physics teachers can use to complement the work done after learning theory, solving multiple choice and essay problems, and performing lab experiments. During the completion of the different projects, the students will be surprised to see how complex, amazing, and beautiful is the physical world. For instance, to understand the motion of a simple ball bouncing several times on an inclined plane, or a ball rotating in a vertical plane, which are two challenging projects in Module 25, require the application of many principles in Newtonian’s physics and algebra. After the students succeed in understanding and completing those projects, they will feel motivated and quite proud of what what they were able to achieve.

      Rotation in a vertical plane

The completion of each project requires an average of three hours of diligent and precise work, and the application of concepts in multiple areas. For instance, the Inclined Plane and the Spring project involves concepts in kinematics, dynamics, energy, and springs. A useful feature many teachers will appreciate is that in several activities, just by entering the ID numbers of the students in the Physics AP class, the computer will generate unique data for every student to use. In addition, the solutions may be printed on the screen or sent to a text file for the teacher to open, edit, and print with a word processor. A nice feature is that the teacher can get all the answer keys for each project in just a few minutes.
